Kiefel brings Dry Fiber processing into industrial production
With the NATUREFORMER KFD, Kiefel is setting new standards in dry fiber processing. The system enables the industrial production of fiber packaging using dry fiber material from rollstock – efficiently, with high quality, and profitable.
Kiefel’s Dry Fiber technology processes recyclable fiber materials without conventional wet processes, simplifying the production workflow.
The solution is particularly suitable for packaging applications with low to medium draw depths and high-volume production, such as consumer goods packaging, lids, trays, or cutlery. This enables reliable and cost-efficient manufacturing.
Efficient and resource-saving process
Processing takes place in several coordinated production steps, from material feeding and preforming to forming and post-processing. This ensures a stable and continuous production process.
Depending on the application, different fiber-based materials can be used and specifically adapted to product requirements and material properties.
Depending on the application, processing is carried out using either rollstock material or pre-cut blanks. Preforming, forming, and downstream process steps such as trimming and stacking are precisely coordinated to enable automated production.
Proven Kiefel thermoforming technology and an automated process workflow ensure high process stability in serial production.
Sustainable packaging solutions
Depending on specific barrier requirements, the NATUREFORMER KFD can also be used to produce fully biodegradable packaging solutions. The materials used can be flexibly adapted to the respective application requirements.
