Precise & flexible thermal sealing of medical bags

Thermocontact welding is a proven process for joining thermoplastic materials and is particularly used in medical technology – for example in the production of infusion, ostomy and drainage bags. This technology ensures uniform, leak-proof and mechanically stable welds. This is especially essential for medical devices, as they must be safe and durable.
Versatile & ideal for non-PVC materials
The process is particularly suitable for non-PVC materials such as PE, PP, and multilayer films, which are widely used in medical technology. Thanks to precise process control, thermal contact welding offers high flexibility and quality assurance, even with challenging materials and complex bag designs.

In thermo-contact, welding is carried out using a permanently heated welding tool within a welding press.

The joining partners (films) are pressed together with the hot tool under a defined welding pressure for a short time.

Temperature, welding pressure, and welding time must be precisely tailored to the respective material. After the welding time has elapsed, the welding press opens. The material can then cool in the air or, if necessary, be specifically cooled in another press.

To accelerate the welding process, it may be necessary to preheat one or more joining partners.
Safe transport and reliable storage of medical fluids

Tight, durable connections for the highest hygienic requirements

High resilience and reliable tightness even under intensive use.

We offer specially developed machines that are optimally adapted to thermal contact welding technology.
