China has grown into a giant in the global plastics industry. Based on this background, the world’s second largest plastics and rubber trade fair, Chinaplas, with over 90.000 visitors, has increasingly become the best informative platform for purchasers from China and other Asian countries to seek product, technology and cooperation.
KIEFEL has introduced the new IV-Express system at this year's Chinaplas in Guangzhou from 17 to 20 May. With this new approach, KIEFEL fulfils to perfection one of the key desires of all producers – namely the need to achieve high output with minimal use of space, while reacting with maximum flexibility to changing product requirements. A number of new projects in the medical technology sector for manufacturing blood-, infusion-, and nutrition bags, have been discussed intensively.
As on display, the SPEEDFORMER KMD 78 B Pressure Forming Machine, processing A-PET with a tray tool, also took center stage and attracted keen interest from numerious visitors from China and all over Asia.
It will only come up within the next months how the great interest shown by buyers ultimately translates into real orders and whether it generates actual sales. It can be said, however, that this year Chinaplas has so far met the expectations at Kiefel.
Thermoforming Seminar at Chinaplas
Together with the Society of Plastics Engineering, KIEFEL hold a half-day Thermoforming Seminar for thin wall packaging. Mr. Ken Braney, Past President of the SPE, acted as keynote speaker and gave an interesting view on "The Future of Plastics". Marbach Werkzeugbau, KIEFEL, Chevron Phillips and the Chinese company Qingdao Ori-Color Group offered the audience informed insights into new developments, materials and market opportunities that exist.
