In addition to classic, bio-based and recycled plastics, paper can also be processed on Kiefel steel rule cutting and tilting machines. Live demonstrations on the KMD 78.2 Speed steel rule machine will be used to produce high-quality, sustainable packaging products from recycled films - thus contributing to tray-to-tray recycling, for example. This is made possible by in-house, unique tool technology and smart automation concepts. Kiefel is unveiling the new Kiefel Speed Automation (KSA) at the K. Beside customer-specific automation solutions, the company thereby offers completely modular standard automations based on a building block principle for the most common applications.
Visitors can look forward to exclusive insights into the Fiber Thermoforming of natural fibers - the associated NATUREFORMER KFT 90 machine is already in operation worldwide in large numbers.
Increasingly shorter product life cycles, a shortage of skilled workers and the trend towards individualization require flexible automation solutions tailored to customer requirements. The answer to this is the new Kiefel Speed Automation (KSA), which is based on a modular system. In addition to customer-specific automation solutions, with the KSA the company offers completely modular and therefore flexible standard automation for the KMD series, especially for the SPEEDFORMER KMD 78.2 Speed.
Kiefel is committed to increased sustainability in many ways, and has anchored this in its corporate strategy, is EcoVadis-certified and is involved in various research initiatives for a better circular economy. At the booth, visitors will gain an insight into new research activities and results from initiatives such as HolyGrail 2.0, PrintCYC and NextLoop.
The Kiefel Portal is the central online platform that allows customers to keep an eye on their machine status around the clock using the "Maintenance Dashboard" and plan upcoming maintenance.
The following other brand-new features related to the Kiefel Portal will be presented at the K show:
Simultaneously, Kiefel is presenting innovations for the medical and pharmaceutical industry. At the K trade fair, the company is exhibiting its expanded portfolio of bioprocess bags with the requisite machine technology, among other products.
The 3D and 2D bioprocess bags can be made from PE or PP, or from PVC or EVA, depending on the customer's requirements.
In addition, a wide range of options can be realized, e.g. semi- or fully automatic machines, disposable bags for cell culture storage, mixing or separation, in 2D or 3D designs or tube/port connection components.
