In view of the persistently high corona infection levels in the region, Kiefel is again donating FFP2 masks - this time to the teaching staff of several schools. The headteachers were very grateful for the donation, which was presented outside, with safe distancing
KIEFEL GmbH, market leader in thermoforming and joining technology, donated 1,000 FFP2 masks to three local high schools last week. The Mouth-nose protection for the teaching staff, will help them continue teaching effectively. This is made challenging by the high level of corona cases in the district.
Rectors Rainer Dieckmann, Karlsgymnasium Bad Reichenhall, Andreas Schöberl, Gymnasium Berchtesgaden and Maurice Flatscher, Rottmayr-Gymnasium Laufen, received the mask donation personally at the company location from Thomas Halletz, CEO of KIEFEL GmbH, and Head of Marketing Cornelia Frank.
"We work well with the schools and have had several groups of schoolchildren visit us," explains Thomas Halletz. “If we can make a contribution to maintaining safe teaching and learning in this challenging situation, then that is to everyone's benefit.” With this donation, Kiefel continues its commitment to counter the spread of Covid-19.
As early as April of this year, the company converted a machine that was actually designed for the production of food packaging to produce makeshift face shields and distributed over a million products across national borders to essential facilities, e.g. hospitals and doctor's practices. Kiefel has already directly provided several thousand FFP2 masks, which the mechanical engineering company obtained at short notice via its platform company in China (Brückner Group China), to professions which are particularly affected.
