Once again, Faerch A/S has chosen Kiefel‘s steel rule cutting machines for the production of recyclable packaging: As part of a renewed long-term partnership, Kiefel will regularly supply SPEEDFORMER KMD 78 Power machines to Faerch.
Founded in Denmark in 1969, Faerch is a leading manufacturer of packaging for recyclable food packaging. Faerch supplies food manufacturers and retailers around the world with a wide range of state-of-the-art production facilities across Europe. They are committed to sustainable, recyclable food packaging and offer fully recyclable PET trays.
Over the past eight years, more than 50 KMD 78 Power steel rule cutting machines have been delivered. These work 24/7 to produce plastic trays for the food sector, e.g. for ready meals, fresh meat, food to go and dairy products.
Faerch has been counting on Kiefel since 2014 and can look back on a successful joint history. "When selecting our suppliers, absolute reliability of the machine, innovative components and cooperation on an equal footing are particularly important to us," emphasizes Arne Holme, Group CTO at Faerch.

The fact that Faerch has been satisfied with the performance of the KMD machines from Kiefel for many years is proven by renewed, long-term cooperation and machine planning.
The good partnership and the excellent performance of the Kiefel machines are now being rewarded. This means that even more pioneering packaging can be produced in the future - a win-win situation. Because the KMD machines process PET into packaging that consists of up to 100% recycled material, which can be completely recycled into new food-grade products of equal quality. The KMD machines impressed across the board, in terms of their small footprint, maximum productivity and cost-effectiveness.
The focus remained on plug and play installation of existing tools in the new KMDs - without the need for any adaptation. Flexibly configured interfaces were also defined in the machines for the automation solutions that Faerch procures regionally in Denmark, ensuring smooth production.
“Kiefel contributes comprehensive know-how and reacts quickly and flexibly to our requirements. The digital services on the Kiefel Portal – especially for training our machine operators – also provides great added value for us,” Holme continued.
Faerch repeatedly emphasizes - and the Kiefel team can feel - that they see Kiefel as a partner. This is highlighted by two similarities: Both companies have not only successfully transformed from an individual company into a group, but they have also both anchored a sustainable circular economy as a firm pillar of their corporate philosophy and thus complement each other.
Thank you, Faerch, for the long-term and excellent partnership!
